To Add a Task to a Work Request

The Workflow Manager component can be configured to support work request tasks that are used in an external work management system. The Workflow Manager can retrieve these tasks and then send them back to the work management system if you update them.

Tasks are displayed on the Tasks page of the New Work Request dialog box as well as the Work Request Properties dialog box.

The Add button on the Tasks page opens the Add/Change Tasks dialog box, which lets you manually add tasks to the work request. With this dialog box you can also make certain changes to an existing task.

  1. Open the New Work Request dialog box or the Work Request Properties dialog box.
  2. Click the Tasks tab to open the Tasks page.
  3. Click the Add button to open the Add/Change Tasks dialog box.
  4. In the Task box, select the task that you want to add to the work request.
  5. In the Status box, select a value for this task.
  6. In the Remark Text box, type a remark to provide more information about the task. Note: The Remark Text box is active only if the selected task has been configured to accept associated remarks.
  7. To save the remark, click OK. Note: Once a task is saved, it cannot be deleted.
